Turned professional after a highly successful international amateur career and claims his highlight to date has been beating the great Ernie Els to the 1989 / 90 season Rookie of the Year title.
Multiple tournament winner on the Sunshine Tour with two majors being the 1994 SA Masters and the 1999 Players Championship.
These days very much a part timer, although he still loves it when the ‘pencil is in the pocket’ and he gets the chance to play tournaments.
Recognised as a true competitor by his peers.

One of the most popular players to have played the game at the highest level. AP has won multiple tournaments on The Sunshine Tour and his short game is highly revered by all who have the pleasure of playing with him.
AP has been involved with all of the business elements of the game of golf, tour professional, shop owner, qualified coach, and now owner / manages his own indoor golf simulator business in Mossel Bay.

James Kingston turned professional in 1988 and rose through the ranks across international tours.
He achieved success on the European Tour, securing wins at the South African Airways Open (2007) and the Mercedes-Benz Championship (2009).
In Asia, he claimed four tournament victories, while on the Sunshine Tour he notched 10 wins and claimed the Sunshine Tour’s Order of Merit in 2007.
Kingston moved into senior competition and has since become a strong performer on the Legends Tour, where he has captured four Legends Tour titles. He also won the Legends Tour Order of Merit in 2022.

After a brief stint on the Sunshine Tour, Dave chose to focus on the growth of the game at club level through the PGA of South Africa.
This decision resulted in a fulfilling journey managing golf clubs and mentoring future club Professionals.
The promotion of golf, influencing young golfers and having the privileged opportunity to walk inside the ropes, with SuperSport, has fuelled his passion for the game.
The personal desire to remain relevant in the sport is what keeps Dave awake at night!
